Meet my Elm tree.
There once was a little abandoned farm..... it was loved dearly many years ago but with circumstances beyond anyone's control, the farm was left while it's owners moved to the hospital and in with family in the city.
Fast forward many years later and the owners son has returned to the farm with his sweet lil lady. All the neighbors had an opinion on what should be done with the farm, including tearing down many of the trees. Well the owner's sweet lil lady said, "no. Sometimes trees need time to heal just like people." Fast forward 4 months later and meet Elmo-O.
Elm-O survived despite all the negativity. A whole lot of trimming and removing briars and Elm-O is happy. So happy, he needed a makeover to show off his new found spirit. Here's Elm-O, isn't he a handsome fella!!!!!
Craig and Smokey like him too. They approve of his new look.
We didn't want Elm-O to be lonely so we introduced him to "Wally the Black Walnut Tree." They like to chat.
See the know it all's wanted the man and lil sweet lady to cut him down too. She said, "no."
Meet Wally. Isn't he handsome?
"Wally" is happy to keep watch over the front of the property. The neighbors now slow down even more when they drive by and often times look in amazement that these handsome fellas are still standing and blooming.
Just goes to show that a lil love and some tlc and anything can flourish.
Now I think the fellas need some lady friends don't you?
Happy Autumn to you all!!!
I can't wait to dig in to all of the great projects we have going around the farm. Mr.Wade's nephew arrived from California to help.
How about you? What are you up to?
